On this project, the client’s culture of multi-level collaboration has informed a facility that has more than met expectations. Careful attention to siting reduced the extent of required earthworks and has created natural light-filled spaces with views over the nearby valley. This building works hard to be more than just a workplace: staff facilities, including the cafeteria, take pole position in the plan to gain the best views and outdoor access. Exposed structural timber panels and integrated sound-absorbing materials add to the interior ambience, and the commitment to strategies to make the building more energy-efficient with less of a carbon footprint are successful.
